Caught in a crossfire between the courts and the Mafia, Sam Spencer flees his world by signing on to the Argo, a rusted tramp freighter with a cargo of nuclear waste. Like Sam, the crew is a ragtag group of castaways from life. In command is Captain Savienko (Stacy Keach) a salty dog as ruthless and unpredictable as the seas he plies.
